And the winner is.....

We judged the challenge quilts by a 'Viewers Choice' vote and the winner was Trish Copeland! (Sorry you're a bit 'washed out' Trish - had to lighten the shot to show the rose on the quilt)
Everyone loved her quilt with it's little dangles, inspired by Lisa Waltons demo beading video.
Well done Trish. I must say, the colour was a real surprize!

Helen was working on a a project using elongated hexagons from a kit from Patchwork with Busyfingers.
Stephanie is thinking about venturing into the realm of hexagons! I think I might try without papers.

Margaret brought along her amazing 'fussy cut' hexagons in soft Reproduction fabrics.

Since we have been meeting at Oak Flats, each month a challenge has been set for members to achieve. Next month, our challenge is to be to finish a UFO that is over 10 years old! Either 10 yrs or if you haven't been quilting that long - your oldest UFO.

We do have our OVER ACHIEVERS - here is Robyns 'old' UFO completed already! It had been pinned together for so long the pins had rusted! Her next challenge will be to get the rust out!
She says she will complete another one from the UFO cupboard for next month.

Its nice to see our kids following in our 'sewing' footsteps.
Robyn's daughter Catherine has started to sew and is now selling her items via Facebook and Etsy. Here is an example of her work - a pram/stroller liner.
Go girl!
